Hi! This week I took a tour in my city. We went to Denpasar for some shopping and to Neka Art Museum where we found fine art inspired by Bali. Museum located in a beautiful garden setting overlooking a scenic river valley, the Neka Art Museum is an ideal place to enjoy artworks by Balinese, other Indonesian, and foreign-born artists inspired by the magic of Bali.
Separate building based on traditional Balinese architecture take visitors through the history of the development of painting in Bali.

The Neka Art Museum was officially opened on 7 july 1982 by Dr. Daoed Joesoef. Indonesian minister of education and culture at the time, who throughout his life has concerned himself with many successful endeavors, including a devotion to museum projects. Together he and Suteja Neka were aware that a qality museum collection could be a source of inspiration, information, research and education. In this way, future generations could benefit from the Neka Art Museum and develop their place in the national and international art communities.
